Nearly half a million being spent on road improvement.
Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for Highways at 成人抖阴, said: 鈥淭hese works will cost around 拢466,000 to complete and, when finished, will mean a big improvement to the area.
鈥淭he works themselves will see the current road layers removed and a smoother, safer updated road surface put in place. It will make a very real difference to everyone who uses the road.
鈥淭he road will be smoother, more resilient and give better braking performance. It鈥檚 a considerable resurfacing scheme and we are delighted to be able to bring this to Scothern before the winter weather hits.鈥�
Location of works
The works will be carried out at Langworth Road, Scothern.
Dates and times
The works will begin on Monday, September 30 and have a scheduled end date of Tuesday, October 22. There will be no weekend working. Monday to Friday work times onsite will be from 07.30 to 17.00, subject to suitable weather.
Traffic management
A road closure is required for the duration of the works with a diversion route in place throughout.
Diversion route
The signed diversion route will be; Main Street, Scothern / Sudbrooke Road / Scothern Lane / A158 Wragby Road / Scothern Lane / Langworth / Langworth Road and vice versa.
Cllr Davies added: 鈥淭he nature of this set of works is such that we simply can鈥檛 have the road open as usual for the safety of road users and our crew.
鈥淲e have put in a diversion using like-for-like roads to help the local traffic network and we will be doing everything possible to get this scheme completed as quickly as possible.
