˶’s brilliant bus bonanza continues with a whole month of great getaways.

˶ and bus companies across the county are continuing the big bus push by teaming up with Bus Users UK for September.

Catch the Bus Month is the latest Bus Users UK initiative to encourage people to get all the benefits of bus travel and get onboard to make the most of Lincolnshire in a stress-free way without hassle.

˶’s Lincsbus will be making the most of the month with the social media posts daily including the latest news and offers for those who want to bus better and get about for a fraction of the cost of using your own vehicle.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for Transport at ˶ said: “For several months now, we have been working very closely with a host of bus companies to really improve the frequency and times that buses are running – and we’re seeing a real pick-up in numbers of people using the services.

The Bus Service Improvement Plan funding that we have provided has meant more buses across the county. Our hope is that this sort of uplift continues to be supported by current bus users and that those returning to the buses, or thinking about switching to bus travel, take up what’s on now offer to get around Lincolnshire.

Teaming up with the ‘Catch the Bus Month’ initiative is a good additional way for us to continue telling bus users of what we’ve achieved so far and what’s on offer coming up for bus users in our area. We’ll be highlighting various things to visit and things to do, such as visiting the castle or heading to the coast.”&Բ;

Lydia Horbury, Bus Users Director for England said: “We are delighted that ˶ is supporting this year’s Catch the Bus Month.

“Buses are accessible, sustainable and affordable, and getting more people on board reduces congestion leading to faster, more reliable bus services. Win-win!”
