To inform parents and carers of the parental controls available through the streaming platform, Netflix. 

Service Description

Netflix parental controls can be managed:

  • online, or
  • via the Netflix app on your phone

You can change viewing restrictions online via your .

  1. open your Netflix account
  2. click to 'open my Netflix'
  3. click on the three lines in the top right corner to open your account menu
  4. click on 'manage profiles'
  5. click on a profile to open menu

Restricted viewing

From the menu, click on the viewing restrictions option. This will open two further options:

  • 鈥榤aturity ratings鈥�
  • 鈥榖lock titles鈥�

You will need to enter your account password to edit the maturity rating and to block titles for a profile.

Maturity ratings: all, U, PG, 12, 15 or 18.

Block titles: enter a TV show or movie name to block from your child鈥檚 profile.

Lock profile:

From the menu, click on 鈥榩rofile lock鈥�. This will enable you to make a profile private by adding a four-digit pin that will need to be entered to access the profile. This will prevent your child from being able to access locked profiles from the menu. You will need to enter your account password to create a profile lock.
